First off, you can see if the diet food is helping you to lose weight.  Additionally, you can get a good idea as to whether or not it is helping to keep you healthy.  If you find out that your diet food is both successful and healthy you are on the right path to success. But if for any reason you start to feel bad you should immediately stop taking that particular diet food.  There is no reason to risk your health when there are so many diet foods and diet plans available.

Your health should be the most important thing that you consider when searching for and consuming diet food.  As long as you are seeing the results you want, and your health is in good shape, you should be able to continue with your current diet food plan.
